Spotorno was once home to the famous poet D.H. Lawrence.
The beautiful old town with the parish church of SS. Annunziata, built in the Baroque period, at first creates the impression of a labyrinth. The main shopping street, also called Budello, runs parallel to the sea, so once you have finished your shopping you can take a quick dip to cool off.
Colombo und Cerutti, the first lidos, were opened in Spotorno in 1872 and still welcome countless visitors to their beautiful sandy beaches.
